Title: " A person who does not thoroughly comprehend the technical side of a craft is incapable of judging it"

We cannot determine the depth of the ocean by looking at it (or we cannot get wet without getting in water) so how can we judge something without understanding it.

An small example to describe this would be of the local water connection in out homes. The water looks clear just like bottled mineral water, still many people spend people spend money to buy mineral water from the water. The bottled water could be same in mineral content but we cannot differentiate, something only a chemist will determine.

There is a saying in hindi which translates to "only a jeweler can determine the value of real diamond" which further proves this point.
